Interactive Cinema-Concert for five performers: two actors, a sound effects technician, an accordionist and an editor.
Artist in residence on the [ars] numerica digital stage from 20 May to 31 June 2009
This film creates its own soundtrack, performed by the two actors -the sound effects technician and the musician- who breathe movement into the pictures.
Reacting to certain parameters of music or voice, the film accelerates, at times in a burlesque manner, or stretches slowly when the pace slows down, giving the characters on the screen periods of uncertainty, hesitation, or forgetfulness. The cast of the film, also visible on stage, develop an interactive, parallel game with their own images. Near them, the editor accompanies the changes in cast and edits the film in real time. Thus a different film is created for each performance, a different film which, while maintaining its narrative continuity, is subtly differ in some details of its story.
Around the musical theme of the tarantella, the accordionist Marc Perrone and composer Andrea Cera, intermingle traditional music and electronic sounds.
