The creation of this show took shape in 2007-2008. It is above all the continuation of collaboration between Jacques Diennet and Christian Tarting which began in 1985 with the creation of "Mante".
The writing of Christian Tarting emerges step by step through the confrontation with his performers and is tested by the sound and musical creation. It continued to grow throughout the year in the Ubris and LMA-CNRS studios and was finalized at a residence at the Chartreuse de Villeneuve les Avignon in November 2007. The model will be tested on the Tinel Modular stage that has been perfectly tailored to welcome it.
The performers are chosen for their skill at improvisation as well as for their ability to perform what is written and what is improvised. The solo voice, with its central role, will have to play the character of the orchestra conductor in relation to the other performers and the pre-recorded voices. The voice will have to sculpt the various tons of its partners and to interact rhythmically with them. The performers and the public will be immersed in an atypical distribution system.
Indeed, the company has a meta –instrument called the Cosmophone. This is particularly with the support this spatialization of sound that part of the broadcast will be based. Its main feature is to provide a projection of sound from top to bottom, a priori unnatural considering our stereophonic (left / right) listening habits. This feature will be associated with a second: the WFS which will be used primarily for the spoken voice and singing. This will create specific holophonic models required to articulate them, to synchronize them and finally make them interactive. All these treatment methods, both for recording, broadcast and processing will be implemented in collaboration with the Laboratoire de Mécanique et d'Acoustique de Marseille. The Laboratory with which Ubris Studio has worked for ten years for the company's in-house productions as well as those developed in partnership with "Cosmophonie @ infinie".
The image shown during the show has its source in a static shot taken over a lake near Montpellier, a minimalist image…Art from little. This matter is dealt with by infinitesimal, gradual changes and is modified by the interpretation of the music and, more predominantly, by virtue of the soloist and the phenomena of detection caused by the Cosmophone which will, in turn "subject" the recorded raw material to other modifications
